Light Communications implements a complex contact center at Freedom Health

Petaluma, CA. January 2010

Light Communications Inc., announces a successful implementation of a complex contact center project for Freedom Health. This project included a custom integration of the contact center system based on 3Com’s marquee VCX Voice-over-IP (VOIP) platform with a variety of locally managed databases and information sources.

Light Communications succeeded in achieving the Freedom Health’s objective of offering a wide range of self-service options for its customers though a set of Interactive Voice Response (IVR) menus.

With the new technology implemented by Light Communications, Freedom Health’s members are able to order new ID cards, get provider directories and obtain many other services automatically, without a need to wait to speak to a representative. Among the automated options implemented for Freedom Health’s service providers are inquiries about members’ status, account details and associated related information.

“The contact center enhancements project was of a highest benefit to our organization and a milestone we had been looking at for the past couple of years,” says Amin Chikhalia, VP of Information Technology at Freedom Health. “The chief implementation engineer Mrs. Teresa Taylor contributed her usual 200% of energy during implementation and the entire project is a huge success, largely due to Mrs. Taylor’s efforts, dedication and in-depth knowledge of our system.
